BOWP outside Canada?

Hi, anyone knows if I can apply to a BOWP if I am not currently living in Canada?
I still have a canadian address and works for a Canadian company remotely.

Sorry, I checked the immigration website before, but was thinking if my case would be different, as I am out of the country "temporary", but wont be able to return to stay til my current WP get expired...

In this case, if I went back to Canada, applied and left again, would it be acceptable?
