BOWP for spouses of principal permanent resident applicants

Folks,

My wife has obtained a spousal open work permit through my PGWP, which will expire in 6 months. I am the primary applicant for our PR-PNP application.

I have noticed that my PNP certificate doesn’t mention my wife name.
I understand that i have to get the AOR from CIC and wait my permit that is due to expire within the next four months.


How to extend my wife work permit ? Please advise.

Technically, there is no BOWP for spouses, only the PAs.

However, spouses are eligible for spouse open work permits, same as before, if you are eligible for a BOWP and have full-time skilled employment.

You can submit her application at the same time you submit your BOWP application.
