BOWP application issue

Hello All,

I have closed work permit with employer which expires in March 2016. Am I eligible to apply BOWP when my current work permit is closed and employer based?If yes, Can I apply like right now and get the open work permit as I have job offer in Alberta(Living in Ontario) and I applied under CEC last year june 27th 2014 and got my AOR August 12th still waiting for medicals, I guess its under secondary review, applied for notes though.

So this goes to say I'm actually eligible to apply BOWP though I've closed work permit right now necessarily it should be less than 4 months to expire.

Yeah, the CIC proforma will advise you MAY be eligible (not ARE eligible). However, unless you have good grounds your application will be rejected if it is not made within 4 months of the current WP expiring.

Having another job is not a good enough reason, CIC will tell you to go get an LMIA, etc.

I have applied my BOWP on March 18th. But I forgot to add AOR document. Is it mandatory to attach the AOR to get BOWP?

I called couple of times to CIC customer support, but they said, without AOR they will not be able to process the application?

During the BOWP decision, Do they have access to check my history by using my UCI and take the decision or they rely only on AOR document that I should suppose to attach?

Not to worry, BOWP is an CIC issue, CIC gave you the AOR and no doubt they have it, they will be able to see it when they process your application
