A craze to experience new things in life is what seems to be alluring Candace Plamondon to move to Australia from Fort McMurray and work there. Plamondon has an experience of four years as a power engineer.

Australian companies attracted by skill and education levels of Canadians—
It's the skills and higher education levels of Canadians that seems to be the factor driving a large number of Australian firms to Alberta and hunt for the required workforce. Canadians have great education as well as wonderful skills, admits Peter Rodda Clough, who states the need for additional number of workers to assist in Australia.

There is around 100 billion dollars worth work in Australia, he adds. A similar Australian job expo was organized in Calgary last week which was successful in attracting around 1600 aspiring workers for jobs in Australia.

Shortage of skilled workers in Alberta—
Alberta is already facing a severe shortage of skilled workforce due to aging baby-boomers, stated Thomas Lukaszuk, Alberta Employment Minister. And to make things worse with regard to skilled workforce in Alberta, Australian firms are alluring people by saying that they can work during day time and go surfing at night.

However, Albertans need to know that even Alberta does have numerous entertainment opportunities for them. Rupert Merrick, Australian organizer, has, meanwhile, maintained that there is a dire shortage of skilled workforce in Australia due to booming energy sector.
