SW and NW is too broad. What I've heard thou is that ang dapit sa downtown near 107 avenue padulong Chinatown is the place where murag dili maau. Miski ako mag lakaw didto makuyawan ko.

SW and NW in general have good family communities.

sensya na jud sa ako ka kulit ha... g career na jud btaw nako ning ako pagsuroy2 thru google map ug nakita nko ning priya apartments sa Mc Dougall na area ( 10715 – 103 Street NW), ganahan ko sa place ky duol sa school, hosp ug uban pa, and since naa cya sa centro murag dili ra kaau need nga magpalit jud me dayon ug car inig abot, korek?

On top of that, barato ra...pero ang prob ky duol jud cya sa 107 ave, d ba mao ni na place nga dili ka ganahan ky hadlok?

the place for me is okay, and about the 'kuyaw' nga area kay tinu-hu-an ra nah. I would live in that area. that place is near downtown and duol pud na sa fat jacks (filipino restaurant) and the chinese supermarket (Lucky 97, which is about 7 blocks). ang kuyaw nga place for me is the area after that supermarket.

i really think its a good place to 'transition' to, (duna traffic sa main 107 avenue basta peak hours, but thats given). I dont' think its something good nga long term stay.... you can get your own house by one/two years, so be prepared sa imo kids going to that nearby school and transferring to another school in a year or two. for adults, its the center of the city, so public transportation wise, its okay.

@ maharlika: yes, the place is good, duol sa inyo church, duol sa mall and most importantly duha ka hospital. i know some bisdaks who work in glenrose and my bro-in-law in royal alex. a good chance you can work there.

there's a public school nearby too i believe. the only minus point is that there's an on-going construction for LRT!!! and im not sure if the train passes by behind/infront of that apartment. im not sure about that, check City of Edmonton website and look for NAIT - North LRT construction. It will be operational by 2012? 2013?. You'll be living just near the train station which is really a super convenience - hopefully not too noisy coz that LRT line is not underground.
