Daghan ko nahibaw-an nga immigration serving agencies, but pag ari namo, their offices were too far and I was looking for a job so wala nalang ko ni invest ug time to go their offices... but during the time nga nag wait nako sa akong start of work naka meet ko ug taga Edmonton Immigration Services Agency (naka sugat nako sa library) and she's OK... she's the one who tipped me about free gym membership, gst tax refunds and some interesting stuff. duna pud sya nahibaw-an nga mga for rent "sharing" apartment and used furnitures.

dont expect much from them thou. basically, consultants are just like your consultants sa pag apply ug visa... sila pud ang consultant sa pag abot and they'll ask you for your PR papers... But these are free services, in other words, chikka chikka lang... dili jud ingon nga hands-on... sometimes you might think nga information here sa forum is much more than what they have.

and mao ning mga agencies nga gi advertise sa CIIP, basically advertising these agencies while naa pa ta diha. They are funded by the Canadian government which was taken from your landing fees (I guess).

and I've just learned nga among silingan, Marriott hotel here in Edmonton is looking for Room Attendants at $14/hr for 8 hours. I'm thinking of looking for some sideline jobs while grabeh pa ang vancancies... there are coffee shops, restaurants, specialty stores and hotels in our area.

@lola: what I can ask you is if you have "goods to follow" nga i-delare? If not, then lahos lahos ra nang mga shoes, laptop, bag, etc... Ang tools thou kay murag sa Cebu (domestic) pa lang daan sangit na nah. I've tried early this year to go to SG with screwdriver, na imbargo sa mactan airport.
As for the fake software, I think that would be okay, but here sa mga airports you have to take out the laptop from the bag to scan it.

Based on experience, after immigration, kay duna linya sa goods to declare and nothing to declare... If you have that list (piece of paper) nga "goods to follow" then you have to go to declare section, and they MIGHT randomly inspect you there.
When we passed customs, duna jud ko list of goods to follow, but naka kita dayon ko nga ga ukab ukab sila ug bags sa pikas section mao nga nahadlok ug nag dali nalang ko. The things I left sa pinas can be handcarried next time, or if ipa ship, bayad nalang mi ug customs tax. Ang goods to follow list once ma approve and sealed by them kay tax free daw.

sa akong na obserbahan sa ubang forum, mas hinay ang processing sa london visa office kumpara sa manila vo. naa koy friend nga nag.apply as working pag sep, hangtod kron, wla pay movement sa iyang docs. cguro mas safe nga sa manila nimo isend imong application bsan naa paka sa uk ron para kon molapas sa 4mos, pwede ra sa phils ka padayon ug huwat.. on the otherhand, pwede kha nimo ipa extend imo student visa para may taas kang time allowance pagprocess sa imong application thru london vo.

thank you kau sa imung reply. mao ba.. hinai diay dnhi sa london. f u dont mind ba, unsa to mung friend student ba sad to xa dri? so sept xa ni submit sa tanang requiremnts / ni lodge sa yang application sa embassy dri? Anyways, mao lagi na ui, dli pa man ko ganahan muuli sa Phil kay ana cla nga maspaspas daw f mg process ka sa laing countries like dri. And pwd diay na nga adto naku ipasend akong application sa phil? what about my passport?Dli ko kauli sa Phil ana? unsa imo pasabot i scan ang laptop? i on jd nila? or ang sticker lang sa orig na OS? pero ang akong tools is check-in lang mana dili man sa hand carry. still ila kuha.on?

how about ang extension wires? regarding sa goods. kana raman na mga dried mangoes or unsa pana sila noh? dili naman ko mag dala ana mga ing.ana.. clothes shoes, computer raman usually ako pang dal.on...

depende cguro sa makagunit sa imo docs, bcin makatiming diay ka ug paspas, lain man cguro ang processing times sa kanang mag.apply with employer compared sa fsw1.. student visa pud cya nagsubmit ug full docs including pp unya waiting pa for results hangtod ron.. morag wla nkay lain option but to send tanan docs incl pp sa london vo while naa paka dri..then ampo lang na mahuman before mo expire imong permit. lisud man diay ipadala sa phils tanan docs, then if maabtan unya na dli pa mahuman, maglisud kag uli without pp.

Ang laptop kay ipakuha sa bag and then i-xray, if dili sila kontinto usahay ipa turn ON nila. Di man siguro na mu matter kung fake ang OS basta importante lang nga okay ra na basta dili lang mu buto! Hehee

As for the tools, what I meant is sa domestic pa. For example sa Mactan airport or even sa NAIA, duna xray before pa checkin, basta by experience na sangit ko ana. extension wire? I'm not sure basta na sangit pud ko kadtong ga dala ko ug taas kaayo nga network cable, pwede daw gamiton strangle ug taw mao to nga gipa check-in after passing the 2nd xray sa mactan.

And murag duna daghan stories about foods or preserved fruits, likay nalang siguro ana. I'm positive too nga suka like pinakurat ug lighter kay ma sangit jud sa airport sa pinas pa.

dugay lgi nabalik among pp..nag 2 months na atong january 10,kay nov 10 man namo napasa ang amo pp....pila jud diay ka days ang waiting time??? heelllppp

2 months na? Did you check na with DHL? Try to call them ask them kung unsa nga number sa ila distribution sa inyong place, then once you called they'll ask you for a tracking number... Of course wala ta ana, so imo na nang deskarte nga mamalihug jud ka nila (dili man siguro pila ka libo ang ilang shipments gikan embassy) so by then they'll know and would confirm if they have it na. Otherwise try jud sa receiving sa DHL basin na sayop ra. If wala jud, then naa pa jud inyo pp and visa sa embassy.
