Hello,
There are two sections of the forms that ask for details about prior common-law partners. We have an issue, inasmuch as we do not know what the prior common law partner's date of birth is (why on earth do they even ask for this?)
I'm wondering what we should do. We wouldn't really be able to get it short of trying to find the person on social media. My wife has been out of contact with this person for an incredibly long time, so she would prefer not to have to do so.
Would it bet better to -
1. Take an educated guess about the date of birth, and explain on an additional sheet of paper? My wife has a reasonable idea of the date of birth, but she can't be certain.
2. Mark the date of birth with asterisks (****-**-**) on the form, and explain that we are not completely sure of the date of birth?
Let me know what you think. Thanks!
Edit - my wife spoke with her mother. They didn't live together for a year. Nevermind this! Feel free to delete if needed.
