I have a notarized birth certificate, but it's back from 2007. Does that matter at all? Can I still submit it with my app, or does it have to be recently notarized?

I d rather get a new one.. CIC requires all the document translations, copies to be dated withing 3 month at the moment of submitting..

I don't think that's completly accurate. my marriage Cert and Birth Cert was translated a year ago, so now is not valid? I doubt it. Do you have a source of this statement?

The three months deadline is valid for the Police certificate. I checked the immigrants guide on the CIC website and that is the only instance where it is explicitly required.

Yes this is correct, as it is stated in the GUIDE that police cert itself need to be issued up to 3 months prior to submitting your app. Ofcourse if your Cert is not in English then you have to translate it.

It is in English, so I can submit it anyway even though it isn't three months recent?
