Hello friends,

I want to know if certificate created at the time of birth by hospital is ok or do we have to get a certificate from "Consulate general of India " ?

Also, my birth certificate does not any have any name. Is that fine or will it create any problem?

Thank you

Why do you need your birth certificate?

I am applying under startup visa program and it is mandatory document, see point 11 in this document checklist- http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5760E.pdf

Ah so not related to express entry.

Try asking in the business forum. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/business-immigration-b7.0/

Hospital issued birth certificate is not recognised legally because in india, many women opt for home birth. You would need to get it from the municipality. I don't need it for EE but decided to get it in case I'm asked. I have a hospital birth certificate. I don't live in india right now but my mum got it done for me last month. I'm 30 now. The municipality willingly issued a birth certificate after 30 years.
