BIRTH CERTIFICATE PAYMENT

Good morning,
I was born in Ontario, Brantford, now I'm living in Italy.
I need my birth certificate. On the website serviceontario.ca, I have already read how can I do to obtain this certificate, but I have doubt about payment. How can I pay this certificate, if I don't have a credit card (like VISA, mastercard and so on ) ? Can I pay by cheque ? Intested to whom? At this office: "SERVICE ONTARIO 189 RED RIVER ROAD"? If I can't, how can I pay ?

Hi,
I succeed to contact the office and told me that I have to do a money order to "Minister of Finance".
I have problems with this money order. The bank has asked me other information to do this money order, they told me that only "Minister of Finance" is not enough to do it. Can you give me detailed information about the money order to pay my birth certificate? Thank you

I flew over to that office (in Thunder Bay) to get my father's death certificate and paid by cash. I got the certificate on the same day.

Unfortunately the OP is in Italy so a bit of a long drive.

Not sure by the OPs post the purpose of getting a birth certificate or just going straight for proof of citizenship given maybe the latter has alternative payment methods even a debit card or certified chq although guess the latter would need to be in dollars.

Yes, I'm in Italy. I need my birth certificate to have my social insurance number, I lost it.

I was in Asia at the time I needed the document. Therefore, where the OP is currently is irrelevant. It was a long trip, but I have the time to visit old buddies there.

@mary: why do yo need your social insurance number?

I was only 2 years old at that time, I don't remember my friends's name anyway
I prefer to have this certificate by mail, I can't go there. Grazie lo stesso!

Unlike you, I don't like postal delays. I rather pay and pick up in person (even if I have to travel long distances).
