Birth Certificate for Ontario PNP and then CIC

Hey Guys
I am an international student from India, pursuing a Master's degree in Ontario. I shall finish my program in September and then apply for Ontario PNP under the Master's graduate stream.
They require the birth certificate as part of documents but the problem is that I don't have one, in fact I have never had one. I think my parents lost it many many years ago when I was still a child, and then nobody bothered to do anything about it.
Can I submit my CBSE class 10th certificate in lieu of the birth certificate? If not, should I get some kind of affidavit from India or what?
I am guessing I would need the birth certificate for CIC as well once I receive the nomination and apply for PR.

Yes you have to Submit BC with your application, but alternative is class 10th certificate and as well as notarized affidavit which has your name, your parents name, your place of birth, DOB and your signature. If you are not in a hurry right now and you have sort of 1 month or 40 days then tell your parents in India that go to the municipality office area where your hospital comes (where you were born). In delhi, there are 2 in MCD and NDMC. I have lost my BC long time back but i got it by filling out form my area of municipality office dealing with BC and filled out the parents name which they have used in hospital records, DOB, place of birth and submitted and after 14 or 30 days according to rush, they will update you whether they have records or not as i was born on 1976 they still able to find the records of my birth so i got it but my bc did not have my name at that time, so when i applied for FSW they returned my file stating that my BC has all the info except my name, so they need 10th class certificate or Affidavits so i submitted my bc witout name, 10th certificate and affidavit (with all the above info) including the reason why BC dont have my name (reason i put was that in india we name the child only at birth naming ceremony which takes place after a few weeks/month after birth but by that time municipal authorities have issued the BC without my name but with all other info, parents name, place of birth, DOB, sex of the child etc. My application is still pending dont know whats going on right now. Is it possible that I can submit my class 10th certificate+a birth certificate issued by the Indian consulate (not Municipality)+an affidavit signed by both my parents stating that I am their son and I was born on so and so date?

I just can't get the municipality issued BC, its next to impossible in my case.

Yea that will be fine....and affidavits should have all the info, what they named you, etc....yea indian consulate bc is fine, and 10th certificate, give them all....all the best.

Thanks for answering! I just asked the same question in another forum and I didn't get any re-assuring answers!
Anybody else knows anything about it, please???
