I’m hoping that someone can help...

We did the provincial nominee programme from the U.K. and entered Vancouver at the end of August 2018. I picked up a work specific permit and my husband a 3 year one. We both did our biometrics when we entered.

In the meantime we applied for PR (paper based) and the application was recieved and linked to an online account (that shows we have 10 months left unitl our PR). However, we had an email message asking for us to do our biometrics in January and saying we only had 30 days to do it. At the time since we did our biometrics when we entered we thought it had been done. I wrote to IRCC (using the web form) many times to ask if we needed to still get them done. We had no suitable reply that answered our question.

The last reply - we are now clear that we should have got them done and have taken our letter to the police station as well as the boarder (at Douglas). Each one said they don't do biometrics for PR.

We have tried to phone IRCC and tried to contact via web form but they keep referring us to the website. The only place we can think of going to is Seatlle but when you look at their website - they don't accept biometrics letters over the 30 days.

Can we go any further with this or should we now do a new application?

Thank you, thank you!

You cannot do biometrics in Canada, or at POEs in Canada. Your only choice is to try to get a new BIL for Seattle, or reapply.
