Dear friends,
An urgent request.
I applied for my PR while I was in the USA on 15/Jun/2019 (The country of residence is the USA in the application). By the end of Jun/2019, I along with my family moved to Canada on Work permit. I have also updated the CIC through the web form about my change of address to the Canadian address after I moved to Canada.
Today I got the message in my CIC account that I have to give biometrics. However, in the letter is mentioned that "If you are already in Canada, you will have to leave the country to provide your biometrics.". I guess that it is because in my original application my country of residence is the USA. Ironically, the letter is addressed to my Canadian address.
I have a valid H1B stamp for the USA, but I am not sure if I can travel to the USA with my H1B, since but I got transferred to Canada already (same employer).
Are there any options I have other than leaving Canada to give biometrics?
Please help.
