Does anyone have an idea that when will biometrics for PR candidates in India will open??? Also can we give biometrics in any other country or is it necessary to give it in India only if the country of citizenship is India??
Canadian borders are closed for outsiders till 21st January. The biometrics will most probably start once the travel restrictions are lifted. Even if the biometrics start after 21st, they will need to adopt some method like AOR wise preference because there are a lot of applicants waiting to give biometrics.
You can give biometrics in other country if slots are available.
In my opinion, the best thing to do at the moment is to wait. At present, CIC is not working on majority of outland applications. Even if you enroll for biometrics, your file shall be lying without activity. So, there will be no use of wasting money on biometrics in other country. Even, the files of candidates from Feb and March 2020 AOR who have already enrolled for biometrics are lying without progress.
So, wait for the borders to open and then act as prescribed by CIC.
