My wife is a postgraduate in Biochemistry and molecular biology from central university. Her academic credentials are exemplary. She did her graduation in biotechnology and worked as assistant professor in Biotechnology taught biochemistry subject. What is the chance of her profile to enter in Canada. Will she falls in NOC 2121. She has got 2-3 years of post pg experience. My self falls in NOC 3141. With 8 years of experience. Kindly explain me whose profile is having more weightage so that we can make them as primary applicant

Have you completed ECAs for your degrees? If so, what do they state. That is what counts, not academic credentials. What are your IELTS scores? You need these two to submit a profile.

Usually it is the person who has the masters, high IELTS scores, and under 30 who is the primary applicant.

Will likely be difficult to get a position in academia unless she has well known research or publications. Also depends on where you’re looking to move. Places like Toronto have a very competitive post grad scene. Would put out feelers about opportunities based on her area of research.

So you have ECAs for the masters, good. Look at the CRS calculator and determine who has the higher score. She will as she is under 30. She doesn’t need to be working but needs one year continuous skilled work experience in one NOC.
