Sorry :( I feel frustrated after seeing the progress which makes me to post hear

Don't be, as mentioned by Sen Harder they need to finish C4 before Easter and if they do it will be a good indication if C6 will be done by first week of May

Did they introduce another amendment on c4 today after the vote?

I was working but I heard something was going on

I am surprised how c4 amendment got 53 votes against 34
This means no one can control independent senators

That debate ended because the Speaker has to decide if a new proposed amendment is out of order

Who is speaking? I think sen harder

He mentioned that the government support all amendments of c6 ;D

Also mentioned to pass it by first week of May

Please use the other thread for live discussion:

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is it. I just wanted to let you know that I will not follow the debate on C-6 anymore until mid-May. It is becoming increasingly frustrating to watch these baby steps.

I want to stay in the spirit of this thread and keep it to facts only which is why I won't post my reasons/opinions here. For those who are interested, here is my post in the other debate-heavy thread:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/bill-c6-senate-stage-t461681.0.html;msg5926740#msg5926740

Please do not interpret my frustration as a sign that this law will or will not pass. Just like everyone else in this forum, I shouldn't dare to make that call. I've just decided that for myself it is better if I have a great spring and then, in mid-May, go to the parliament website to check if the bill passed or not.

For those who still want to follow the step-by-step process of the bill, I ask to continue to keep this thread to facts only. It worked well so far and I think it is important it is kept that way.

Talk to you in May!

Debate is still ongoing. They are still discussing the amendment regarding minor applicants. Nothing else happened.

Thank you. Now no need for further posts after what you ve said. See you all in May

Just to clarify: It seems that Senators have agreed that vote on the actual bill shall be in early May. I don't have a primary source for that I only got it from other forum members but they say they heard that during debate last week.

Today they will vote on the amendment regarding minors at 6:42 pm. They will also probably still work on bill C-6 tomorrow (Wednesday) and (Thursday).

What I was trying to say is that I will not regularly follow updates anymore and instead just wait for early May. I don't see the benefit in following it day by day anymore.
