Has the implementation date been announced ?
On some threads I've read 19 June 2015. Are there any links to confirm that ?

Nope, nothing official.

No news guys,
I was with the Premier ONtarion Wyne and had the opportunity to discuss C24 in detail.
No news on implementation yet! So let's wait and see.

Looks minimum a year

Hope it's more than a year, I will be cut off by eight days if it goes into effect one year after Assent. January 1, 2016 would be ideal for a lot of us PRs who came here with the understanding of the old law.

It is not likely to be more than an year after the royal assent is made. My wife would also qualify for canadian in Jan 2016 as well. But unfortunately the new law will likely be in effect by the time she qualifies under the old rule.

I told her that she may have to wait 4 years instead of 2.5 year after landing to qualify for citizenship. Her reply was that she doesn't care as she has all the same rights and Canadians except for voting or elected member of government.
