Hi everyone,
Well, I was accepted in the Art Fundamentals program at Seneca. I'm a comic writer and I want to learn arts to be able to make my own stories. After Arts Fundamentals, I was thinking to apply to Illustration, but first I need the fundamentals so I can create a good portfolio.
What's the problem?
Okay, I lived in Canada on 2017, had a Work and Holiday visa and of course, left on time, no issues there. Then I traveled to Germany, same thing. Now I'm in Sweden, the problem is that here we (my bf and I) decided to apply for asylum. There were big issues in my country (Chile) and it was hard to come back at the time (and now too), because my boyfriend could be in danger. After a long period, they rejected the application and we were told to leave. Which we agreed. However, even when we asked for more time to arrange our trip, they, of course, didn't grant it. We have pets (3 cats) and one of them is really old, travelling back to Chile now it's like 40 hours and 3 o 4 stops, too much for him. Besides, the danger is still there, specially now, with the plebiscite.
We have collaborated with the Swedish inmigration as much as we can, but right now, we're out of status and they gave us a 1 year ban from the Schengen area.
The agent who is helping me with my application, told me that if we don't lie, everything will be fine. However, I'm scared!
My plan is to really study arts, and then illustration, but due to the asylum application they might think we don't want to leave Canada at all. We want some time in a place to be safe and then immigrate to Japan ('cause of comics), that it's our plan, but due to covid, it's hard right now. If Chile is safe again, we do want to come back, but now, it's really hard. I could go to a japanese art school, but my japanese level isn't that good right now.
Also, my classes starts on May 17th and my travel ticket is for May 3rd
* Extra info: we don't have criminal records in any country.
I don't know guys, should I prepare for the worst?
Thanks for reading me and I'm sorry, I'm really stressed.
