So, my boyfriend was born in Wales, and we both want to get him here to live permanently. He graduated from college with a degree in graphic design/interactive media. He's 19, no criminal record, distant family living in Canada. We don't know what visas to use and he would like to come here for work. We're so unsure of how to go about applying for visas and how long it would take and where to apply and all that stuff. He would be moving from Wales, UK (born there), to Ontario, Canada. Please help. We're beyond desperate.

The IEC working visa is your best option to get him to Canada fast but in order for him to be able to stay long term, he would have to find a way to apply for his PR.

If you live together as a couple for 1 year, you can sponsor him as your common law partner or you could marry him and sponsor him right away. This is normally the easiest way for a partner to get PR.

Otherwise, he may find a way to apply for PR on his own depending on if he gets a good job while in Canada.
