Hi everyone!
We wish to move from Hong Kong to Canada next year, and want to take away almost 50% of our household stuff, including clothes, shoes, books, some electrical/electronic appliances etc.
Can someone suggest what are the options available to ship out good for this kind of door-to door- service, and what are the approximate charges to expect (by volume or any other metric that may apply)?

Thank you!!

Over a decade ago, a friend of mine hired Wil-can logistics which have offices in Hong Kong, Toronto and Vancouver to provide door to door service and shipped the goods from HK to Vancouver. You can phone and get a quotation from them. For electrical/electronic appliances, you probably need a step-up electricity converter (to convert 220V to 110V; unless you already have a 220V electric outlet in your Canadian home - I use the 220 V electric outlet as an EV charger).

Edit: The Vancouver office appears to have permanently closed...

Once the goods are in the port of Vancouver, the company phoned him and he brought his stamped BS 186 forms to the CBSA office in downtown for customs clearance. Shortly afterwards, he scheduled a delivery with the Vancouver agent to have the goods arrive at his new home in Canada.
