My wife and I want to come to Quebec to take an immersion course in French for 3 months, because we can get points for Quebec immigration, and because we love French language / culture. I'd like to know which are the best places to study French in Quebec, with reasonable tuition fees / good teaching. I'm thinking Quebec City because it's more French speaking, whereas ( in my experience ) everyone in in Montreal speaks English.

You are right. quebec city will be better. I took a few courses in Montreal. Outside of the class, I just end up speaking English because everyone can speak English here. In terms of price, they are all quite similar.
Or you could go to France for full immersion. I had 4 different french teachers in Montreal, they were all from France! Never had a Quebec teacher. It's so weird!

Which is probably a good thing considering how Quebecois speak French. :)

I had one french teacher here. Everyday, she'd just complain and complain about Quebec. She was the worst. If she really doesn't like it here, why not leave??? So don't take french class from Uqam, especially if your teacher is named Celia or cecilia, whatever.

Hi. I studied French for a month in Montreal in a school called MIILA and my teachers were from Quebec.
I had two teachers, one for grammar and another one for conversation. This last one drove us to parks, stores, manifestations, library. Always teaching new words, expressions and things about the city.
It was really good. This school is near by Guy Concordia Station.
There is another school called ALI. It is near by MIILA. People who were living in the same place I was, studied there, and they liked it.

I achieved B2-Listening and B2-Speaking in 8 months
4 months self-study, 4 months at private school.
