Hi.

I have done 18 months of living and working in B.C. over 2 separate working holiday Visas (2006 and 2010). I am irrevocably in love with Vancouver. There hasn't been a day since returning to Australia that I have not thought about Vancouver.

I really want to go for PR but I am not sure how to go about it.

I have previously worked in Child Care in Australia but did not obtain any qualifications.
I am currently working as a tutor and admin assistant and ESL / TESOL tutor in a SEE program (Adult Language and Literacy Program).

I have a cert IV in Training and Assessment and a Cert II in Retail as well as a handful of units for a Cert III in Education Support (All Australian quals)
Are any of these qualifications recognized in Canada? Or is there a list of Australian quals that are recognized in BC?

Does anyone have positive outcomes for the Live-In Caregiver Program or the Canadian Experience Class?
I am not sure which is the best option (most likely to result in PR)

And does anyone have a list of the types of jobs accepted for the Canadian Experience Class?

Any advice or encouragement is greatly appreciated.

I am single and almost 30. I am currently in Australia.

I would recommend that you join the Canadian Experience Class section of this forum and read through the discussions there for information and experiences related to this immigration stream.

Discussions about the live-in caregiver program and LCP PR applications can be found in the Foreign Workers section of this forum. This is generally regarded as a long process since you need 2 years of full time experience to qualify and application processing takes another 4 years.

Information regarding which jobs are accepted for Canadian Experience Class can be found here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-how.asp

There is no list of jobs. Rather, the occupation must be skill level A, B or 0 to qualify (a live-in caregiver job does not qualify for CEC). Additionally, there are a few A, B, 0 occupations excluded from CEC (see link above).
