hi my parents are visiting for 3 months, in their mid seventies. Are there any insurance companies that you have really good experience with and ones to avoid. They have stable ore existing condition ( blood pressure controlled by medication) Thanks
The most famous and a big insurance carrier is Manulife in Canada. You should be looking for a pre-existing insurance coverage, provided that the medical conditions are stable for at least 180 days.

Just shop around & get multiple quotes, then see which one suits your requirement.
Do not run behind big names, even small companies have better plans with good support.
I personally had an insurance from Manulife, however for my parent's (Super Visa) I opted for other company.
Another thing do look for pre-existing conditions as well as deductibles.
Some companies do provide walk in visits to doctor, but their cost is bit high, see if you really need that. (or God forbid, if you need to visit doctor, you can walk in directly & they would charger somewhere around 40-50 per visit)

If they are visiting, they will need to get 'travel insurance' for long trips from their home country (whatever that is). When we used to live in the UK, we used Virgin.
