best city to live in canada as student with family

can anyone please guide me about which city is good in expenses?as to live with family as a asian student.i have searched many sites for this issue and got to know that toronto is good to live as asian but the rental homes are quite expensive.is calgary good enough for jobs and cheap in residence?waiting for good replies

Calgary has high unemployment at this time due to the gas and oil industry. Housing is not that cheap.
