Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I think life is impossible without having a car. Any recommendations for a safe, reliable,fuel efficient and comfortable car. I'm looking for a used car between the $5,000-$10,000 range.

Have you looked into insurance premiums? If not, start by doing that to see if a car is going to be affordable for you.

there are variety of options you can get in between this range like mazda, honda civic, corolla, chevrolet are some options.

Really? ::)

I managed without a car just fine while living in Canada when studying and working.

Having a car costs more than a mortgage payment on my downtown Toronto condo where I can use public transport and go practically anywhere.

So, what would you rather have? An asset like real estate which is more likely to appreciate unless there is a market crash.

Or a car that is 100% guaranteed to depreciate?

But maybe you are rich.....

Just mentioning this for people who have their priorities wrong.

I also do not have a car...but some of us don't live in the GTA. Trying to get around without a car in smaller towns can be pretty brutal. That's my personal experience at least.

Sound advice +1. I would start from that as well, especially if you are from GTA.

I didn't live in Toronto while studying and working. Condo only came afterwards.....

Also, if you are a student, chances are you live close to a campus as it is a cost and time saving priority.
