Hi guys,

Last august I graduated with Master Degree in Ontario; I received PGWP for 3 years, valid up to end of 2017. This my first month in NOC 2171 offer with 60K.
I want to process PR. What's your suggestion please? Should I proceed in Ontario nomination program for Master students or direct to Express entry?? Do I need LMIA? I need your assistance please, I'm slightly confused here Huh

Thank you in advance
Your reply will be highly appreciated

Go for express entry. PNP stream has become the slowest way for PR now!!!

If you go for CEC under EE, you don't need LMIA to get into the pool, but you do if you want to get 600 points. Whether the 600 points are needed is anyone's guess. If your points are good enough, you can get into CEC without the 600 points.

I think Ontario is one of the province who still hasn't integrated their PNP into EE...so until they announce new policy

As mentioned, EE is supposed to be faster than PNP, but it's full of uncertainty and very untransparent . It is your decision which way to go.

But what about LMIA ?

If you take LMIA option, EE becomes more interesting. Don't go PNP for Speed. Its a Mirage of your expectations especially in terms of speed. We got fooled in applying for PNP for speed.

Not sure time taking for LMIA....

Thank you mf4361 !

I don't think I'm eligible yet for CEC, (12 month part time +1 month full time). I though I can get 600 points with my job offer only as long my open work permit valid.

How is it come that you have 12 months experience if you got your permit last august?

Just to clarify, experience for CEC only counts after you receive the PGWP. Anything you worked with your OCWP is worth nothing sadly.

You can get into the pool without LMIA on your open work permit, but you can't claim 600 points without LMIA.
There has been some heated debate over this earlier, but now it's quite clear that is the case.

Then what you think if i register right now for EE with my existing situation as per your suggestion (PGWP + Master+full time offer in skill A, I think my wife can add some educational points as well) and pray to receive PR invitation. Meanwhile apply in parallel for my Ontario nomination as International students with job offer. My idea is that in case my points is too low for EE selections So i can update my profile once i receive Ontario PNP certificate and guarantee 600 points for the next EE withdraw.

I don't know I'm right or i missed up whole thing
