Being employed

Hi,
Does anyone know that a person is considered as being employed person when she is under the maternity leave?
I want to apply for the new immigration policy under the recent graduate students, however I am not working due to my new born baby and I am under the maternity leave through EI. But I will go back on July. Do you have any idea?

No you aren’t working but being on mat leave may be considered. New program so not clear on the details and exceptions.
