Hi,

Good and bad news I guess. My Wife lives in China. She received an email yesterday from the Beijing embassy. They are asking her 2 documents:

- Her passport
- Certificat de Sélection du Québec

If they don't receive both documents in 45 days, they will refuse the application.

I am a bit confused, because I sent the forms to MICC 2 weeks ago. I thought Beijing was not even supposed to look at the files until the Quebec part is done?

I have a feeling they already accepted her, and they require those 2 last documents to finalize. But we DON'T have the Certificat de Sélection du Québec yet !!!! Technically they should still be processing it. And we didn't wait last minute or anything. We did as fast as we could. After the first approval from Mississauga, I got the letter to tell me to apply to MICC. Sending documents to my wife, her sending it back, me sending it to Montreal. It took about a month. They told me before it takes about that. A month or two to get the Certificate. But now this?

I am confused. Going to call them today. Does any of you know anything about that process? Is this normal? I have a feeling they skipped some steps!

Thanks
