Beginning the process of sponsering my Tunisian husband

Hi everyone!
This is my first post. Just wanted to say I love this website and am grateful for its wealth of information.
I just got back to Toronto from Tunisia. My husband and I are recently married and are now going to begin the sponsorship process. I was informed that I need to make sure to fill out the proper form/paperwork that Tunisia falls under when applying. As I am totally new to this process and feeling a little overwhelmed and confused by the details, I was hoping that people might be able to point me in the right direction in terms of which form I will need to fill out. I would be eternally grateful

Hi there! Me and my Tunisian husband married in October 2018 and sent in our application which they received Jan 7th 2019. I would be more than happy to help you out if you have any questions! I know it can be overwhelming and everything and it is so hard to find someone who is sponsoring a Tunisian spouse! The first step is to go to the site (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp) and select what applies (My spouse, Tunisia, Tunisia) and the list will be provided of all of the forms that you need. The only additional form for Tunisian applicants is Supplementary Information – Your travels [IMM 5562].

Also, if you have Facebook, I found these 2 groups to be quite helpful: Canada Spousal Sponsorship Support Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/inlandsponsorship/ AND Applying for PR Common-Law/Spousal Canada https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=applying for pr common-law/spousal canada&epa=SEARCH_BOX You will have to answer their security questions to gain access first.

Thank you so much for thr info! It's good to know another person who is sponsoring a Tunisian husband I asked to join the first Facebook group you recommended.
I've filled out most of the sponsorship forms and am working on saving the money to send it in. Best of luck to you and your husband and I agree, let's keep each other posted!
