BDS would get you points under professional degree, which are equal to that of master's, which can make it really easy for you to immigrate.
However, if you are looking forward to practice Dentistry in Canada, that will be a tough job. It is very difficult for foreign educated physicians, dentists, optometrists to retrain themselves and obtain license to practice in Canada. 99% of the people who were medical professionals in their home country do not practice their home country profession in Canada due to the tough licensure procedures.
If you want to practice dentistry in a developed country, I would suggest that you opt for either UK, Australia or New Zealand, but not Canada or USA.
