Hi all, myself and my partner are having to leave Canada for 6 months. We have both been accepted onto bcpnp and have our certificate, unfortunately due to issues we have to leave Canada and are unable to re enter until May 2015 and our certificate expires in March 2015. Has anyone had any luck in asking Bcpnp for a certificate extension? If so how do I go about it?
Thanks a lot Amy!

Why don't you apply to CIC before your depart from Canada?

Our visa has expired and we must leave and Canada have told us that they are unable to give us a new visa until may 2015 and our Bcpnp expires in March 2015 so we are in a tough spot.

For AINP it is necessary that the applicant should have a valid work permit at the time they apply for nomination and continue to hold a valid status/ work permit till the PR application is processed by CIC.

If the same applies to BCPNP I am sorry to say but this could be the end of the road for your current PR process.

Did your work permit expire before you received the PNP nomination?

I hope someone else can offer you a solution if any.

Do you think if I can extend our certificate and then come back in 6months and then apply to Cic that would work. Thats what we have been told to do? I just don't no how to ask pnp for an extension.

You can discuss your situation with BC PNP and if they agree to extend the validity of your nomination certificate you can certainly apply for PR once you return in May 2015.
