BC Emergency Benefit 1000CAD is considered social assistance that affects sponsorship?

Hi all,
Today, I applied for that one-time1000cad benefit for workers of British Columbia. I meet all the requirements. Just wondering if that will affect the spousal sponsorship dpends on whether they consider this is a social assistance. I know that the government says on the website, CERB will not affect the application, but not entirely sure about this BC benefit though. Thanks for any ideas.

One way to know if it doesn't affect application. Is the 1000 BC benefit taxable like CERB. If it is, then it is not social assistance. But to be sure 100% is to contact BC government.

Thanks for reply. It's tax-free. Just called them now, they said it's not social assistance, just a one-time benefit. Still afraid that government and province will define things defferently though.
