Hello,

I'm from the Philippines and I'm interested in studying in Canada.
I already have completed a 3-year College degree and am currently employed.
Obtaining an IELTS certificate will not be a problem.

Here are my questions :

1.) Is 25,000 USD proof of funds enough? Is this all I need or do I need to add the tuition to this amount?

2.) Are there a lot of 1 year educational programs/courses available for me? Most of the career college/vocational schools I saw from Canadian government site offers 2 year courses. Unfortunately, the expense per year might be manageable, but 2 years is a little steep.

Apparently, Library Science and Administrative book keeping has 1 year courses but I could use more information/leads.

3.) The educational system in the Philippines is a little different. 2 yr Kindergarten, 6 yr Grade School, 4 yr High School and then College.
Am I safe to assume that I won't have problems since I already have a recognized (by Phil gov't) College Diploma?

Thank you very much for your time!

Hello,
Following are your queries reply:

1. Minimum requirement of proof of funds is off one year
Minimum Funds Requirement = 1Year education fees +12,000$CND Living Expense+ 3000$CND to be on save side

2. If your intention is to study only and then return back to your country than for it, but if you want to gain work permit after completing your 1year course than it will lead you to gain 1year work permit only and if you do 2 years of studies than 3 year of work permit.

3. Mostly all colleges and universities are aware of education system of all countries so you don't have worry about it.

Plus if your having problem to find suitable good an cheap course for your studies and have any problem in visa filling than you can purse your case with my consultant as he is operating his work from Canada, if you want his detail will provide you on request.

Ah then my problem is just finding 1 year courses then.

Thank you very much, and yes, I'll need all the help I can get. I'd like to have your friends contact info if it's alright.

Hi,

1. If you intend to work in Canada on the basis of a;

-On Campus job,
-Off Campus Work Permit,
-Post Graduation Work Permit,

you should avoid any other career or vocational college and select ONLY a recognized school from www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp

Ah yes, of course. The ones I want are on that list. I was using their site to search for schools.

Thank you for the list.

I almost forgot:

Can I send multiple applications to different schools?

Am I qualified for post graduate studies?

Yes you can send multiple application as well but at the time of applying visa you have to select only one college or uni.
