I applied on new form containing bar code and have to validate
• Why cic introduce this barcode system?
• If the form is validated, is the data automatically delivered to cic?
• How these barcode forms facilitate the processing?

There is nothing like that! Barcode will just ensure CIC that all the fields have been filled in. It just shows completion of firm nothing else!

The barcode system signifies the following:

Firstly, the data is complete in your appl form, coz it won't allow you to validate unless ALL fields are complete. By the way, you may validate your form as many times as you wish, only the last data will be captured. So this means every time you make a change in your generic application form you must ensure you validate it.

This is a faster way of keying in data into any data entry system. Now, for the Generic application form, all they need to do is scan the 7 sets of bar codes that were generated and the data will automatically update itself in their database management system.

Validate the form

I have applied for OWP online through CIC website. I have validated once after completing the form. At the time of upload I put the date and saved it to my laptop, I forgot to validate. and I uploaded it to CIC. But the application is having bar code with it. Is it matters for the Visa. I am totally scared.
Please advice me what to do.

This is very important that you need to validate your generic form 0008.

For better results, fill and validate the form. Then scan the bar code with a simple scanner which will give the result of data entered by you.

If you make a mistake on this form, your case will be delayed (they have clearly mention on form)

I have filled in the form and validated it too but the barcode doesn't show. I think it's because I'm using a MacBook. I do not have any other computer at the moment so can u please help me fix this problem so the barcode appears.

I need your help. In generic application form i forgot to write down my email address and i have already validated the form, signed it and sent it to my sponsor in Canada. Now advice me what could be done?? Can I put my email and print another version of page 1? or I should re fill the form, validate it again but use the same previous last page as it is signed by me. Please help!!!!

I am about sumbmit my application for permanent residency in online application.
What is this validation and barcode process ? Is this process for study permit or temporary visa or for PR Too?
I am totally confused as I could not see any PDF form in my account to validate though I use the latest version of adobe reader !!!
What should I do? Soon response would be appreciated.

Do these barcode contain any information regarding the date it was printed on? Like when the form is scanned does it provide the date it was printed on?

I've already validated and printed with the barcodes ready to be mailed but found out I needed to correct the typo in page 1 of the form. Does it mean I still have to re-validate and REPRINT even the barcodes? or I can just correct the error in page 1 then validate and print page 1 only and still keep the prev barcode that was already printed?

You should correct, re-validate and re-print. A small sacrifice for peace of mind.
