Does any1 know if there are any Banks which Provide loans for PG Certificate Programs

I think, If you can prove that after this certain PG Certificate course, you have a good opportunity to bag a job, have good credentials/ atleast average academic record/ work experience, most importantly if you or your parents or whoever your sponsor will be are financially strong/ can be your guarantor, then there should be no problems in getting a bank loan. However, it depends on individual cases and banks and it would be better, if you approach a bank where you/your parents/ your sponsor already have connection/know the bank manager/authorities. It may help.

Others may add.

Only UCO bank? ??? The sheer number of Indian students going to Canada for PG cert. courses, all of them can't possibly rely only on UCO bank... can they??? I'm sure...other approved banks must be giving out loans too...
What about 1 year/2 years Post graduate DIPLOMA courses ?

Hi,

1. UC0 Bank, it's 'confirmed' and based on my personal dealing with the bank.
2. Again, it's 'confirmed' that PNB and SBI do not entertain any application for certificate/diploma.

**I can also conclude (but NOT sure) that all 'major' banks like UBI, B0B etc do not entertain any such application for certificate/diploma. Better if you try in low profile banks like Dena bank, Punjab&Sind Bank, OBC etc (again, NOT sure of these banks).

Hi Enfield,

:( I see... I was planning on 1st approaching SBI..(when the time will come).... I guess.. I'll be "confirmed" of denial of loan, when I actually go and talk to them and other banks! ;)
