Hi,

I have applied for Canadian immigration and my agency had told that i should have 6 lakhs indian rupees in fixed deposit to be shown to the Canadian High Commission. Is this correct? Could anyone provide me some information about this.

I don't know how much 6 lakhs indian rupees are in Canadian dollars, but here's the webpage with the answer to your question: http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

(this is valid for "skilled worker" immigrants... I don't know if values are different for other classes of immigrants)
