Banglor vfs visa updates

Will it take more than 6weeks to get an update on paper based application for study permit under general category??.
Applied on 19th jan 2017 to Bangalore Canadian consulate .26th jan medicals passed that's it from then no updates.

This is the message i get every time i check with the tracking number.
I have applied offline for student visa on 28th Feb 2017 at Mumbai VFS. I have submitted all documents.
I took admission in St. Lawrence for May 2017 intake.
Can anyone please tell me how many days does it take for visa and in how many days can I expect my passport ?
And I have applied in general category (that is non SPP) .

i am afraid it was a late submission. applied for electrical engineering technician at st Lawrence college Kingston Ontario and my class starts at may 5th

Did you contact them or raise a case specific query stating that the classes starts from May first week ?

No i did not do that yet i look forward to contact them this coming week . Lets see how it goes. My agent says wait yet since processing is slow.
