My husband's police clearance certificate is past the 3 months mark. This was the mistake of the Thai Police Clearance Bureau who took 2 1/2 months to mail it back to us. If my husband needs to get a new certificate will he have to send in a new set of fingerprints?? Can he order a new one based on the first set of fingerprints?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you had problems with getting your police clearance. What my partner and I did was to go straight to the Royal Thai Police Headquarters, near MBK, SIAM Paragon and the old central world in Bangkok and apply for it in person with their special branches department. They took my partners fingerprints there, gave her all the forms there, and even had postage stamped envelopes for sale. They sent us the clearance about 2 weeks after we got home. I must say that, that division was the most organized, efficient and friendly office I have seen here in Thailand. They were great.

Although, if your spouse is Thai you may have to go to a different branch or office since that branch is specifically set up to deal with foreigners requesting police clearances, I am sorry I don't know about that.

Why don't you call them ???? I think you will get the right answer...

Good luck++!!

Yes, I can call them but that will cost me long-distance charges because we are in Mongolia. Yes, I can re-send them fingerprints too and start the entire process over again because the first time they didn't mail the certificate to us for more than two months and now they are past the three month mark now. That will cost us more money too. But first I will try emailing them but I have done that in the past and they never replied so today we gave it a go with my husband writing them an email in Thai to see if that works better. Let's see what they say...

Good luck, I didn't realize you weren't in Thailand. Hope it'll work.

I was looking at the website then I found the email..So, I hope you can email them

E-mail : pcscenter@royalthaipolice.go.th

Good luck

Dear LoveThai, I tried the email address you found but my email came back rejected. I've tried another email before which was pcsc@police.go.th in the past but when I got a reply it was an old email they had sent someone else totally unrelated to my enquiry... . I'm going to wait a few more days and then try calling...
