Bad news for PGWP holders

Yes they can, if they're eligible and have managed to apply for CEC already.

It's bad news for those who haven't applied yet, and who find themselves in the situation of trying to gain 12 months' work experience out of a PGWP that was only issued for 12 months. This new announcement will make it harder for them to continue with their current employer at the end of their PGWP, and therefore complete the 12 month requirement.

I am not surprised with this move. WOW. It's no longer easy to immigrate or work in Canada.

I didnt get what they changed.
I am on PGWP and it expires this december.I already applied for CEC.Now am i eligible to apply for BOWP in end of august or not.
can i continue working with the same employer?

So in other words, apply for a BOWP before applying for permanent residence? No, of course not.

I did not understand that ESDC article completely; for those individuals who has their PGWP valid till next year, filed their CEC and also working do they have to obtain LMO or they can continue work on their PGWP?

No...if some one's work permit is expiring and if he/she wants to extends their work permit they have an option called LMO and that LMO rules were different to the one applying from overseas to the one who graduated in Canada...but now every one has to go through the same procedure which is advertising etc etc etc...

If we have option of Bowp(got AOR).Then we can apply Bowp without any problem right.
It is problem for those guys whose workpermit is going to end and they didnt applied for Immigration.
