Background Checks - Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Hi folks,

Requesting our Champion/ Star members to throw some light on how exactly Background Checks are done by CIC ? Security and Criminality I understand is done by 3rd parties affiliated to CIC. Do they also contact Employers where the PA has worked ? Or the landlords where the PA has lived ? How does it work ?

Also, I have stayed in 3 countries other than my country of citizen for more than 6 months. Is it right that I will need PCCs from each country I lived or just the country where I lived most of my years after I turned 18 years ?

You will need to submit police check from all countries the you live over 6 months. From my experience, they do not contact employers or landlords, but they could if they wanted or needed to
