hi guys actually i got AOR on 23 december 2015 and after that they called in for CELPIP certificate that i submitted online on 8 january 2016. Then suddenly on 17 January i gor a status update email and i checked my Background check changed from "not started" to "not needed at this time".....Anybody with this kind of change plz let me know OR its just normal .......PLZ ADVICE PPL.

Hi, its very normal. Happened to a lot of people in this forum, including me. There is another thread on this...you can find it in this section. Sorry can't send you the link to that thread as I'm replying to this from my phone. But that thread is also maintaining an excel file and tracking those whose background check went to 'not needed' from 'in progress'

My profile showed ineligible, but i have another work experience i want to use when creating a new profile. Do you know if that is fine by changing the work experience on the first profile which is not ineligible?
Also, what really make profiles Ineligible despite i scored more than 67 points when i evaluated it?

The usual progression of BG status is:varun22 said:
1. Not Needed at this time - As soon as you submit you eAPR.
2. Not Started - Around the time your medical is passed.
3. In Progress - For inland immediately around medical passed date. For outland, after 2-5 months. Probably RFV and very very close to PPR.
4. Completed - After COPR is received.
So you are still at the first step. Now, for some of us after stage 2 or 3, From Not Started or In progress, BG went back to Not needed at this time. This is the issue that we are following in the thread that Naomi mentioned. As of now, yours is progressing normally. Nothing to worry.
