Hi

I am a canadian citizen born outside of Canada (pakistan) and received my citizenship via my father who became a naturalized citizen before my birth. I applied for my spouse's (a pakistani) PR earlier this year and returned to Pakistan to give birth to our child. I've been googling for better understanding on what all is required now for the baby to travel to canada temporary trip to visit the grandparents, but couldn't find a clear updated answer. Have the following questions:

1. Does our baby need a temporary resident visa to travel to Canada (given I'm a citizen)?
2. Do I have to apply for the TRV from the home country?
3. Has anyone faced rejection for their newborn's TRV application?
4. We'll be traveling to the US soon for a visit, would it be quicker to apply for the baby's TRV from there or the home country?
5. How do I go about adding this development to my spouse's application?
6. Is our baby eligible for the citizenship certificate presently?

Thanks a lot in advance!

The baby is not a Canadian and need a visa. Only first generation born outside(you) have a right for Citizenship.
You must include the baby in your husband aapplication for PR.

Yes, vania is correct. You need to add your baby to your husbands PR application ASAP.
The baby is not eligible for Canadian citizenship.
