Hi All,

My wife is a Canadian citizen by birth currently living in the UK. I'm a British citizen. Our Daughter who is 5 months old was born in the UK.
My wife is sponsoring me and we are about to submit our application and I just wanted to make sure we have completed the forms correctly for our daughter.

We have submitted an application already to get proof of Canadian citizenship for our daughter - is it worthwhile including proof of this within the application with a note explaining the situation?

We have included her on the following sponsorship forms:
5481E (Sponsorship Evaluation) question 6b
5549E (Sponsor Questionnaire) question 12 and question 15

and on the immigration form:
5406E (Additional Family Information) Section B.

Is there any other information we need to complete or send with the application?

Thanks in advance!

We did exactly the same but if I remember someone told me afterwards that as your daughter is a Canadian citizen there is only one form she needs to be added to, but I can't remember which. However, we added her to all the same forms as you and there hasnt been any issues with our app. We also submitted proof of our application for her citizenship and once we received it (after 4 months) it only took a few weeks to get her Canadian passport.

Just one thing....remember and check they have spelled her name correctly when you receive her citizenship certificate, they had mucked ours up and we had to return it, the girl we spoke to at the London office said it happens regularly!

Same situation as us. We included them in the exact same places as you. We did not include their certificates in the application, but we did send copies of their birth certificates and in our cover letter we mentioned that they both have Canadian citizenship. We were told that would be enough. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to send them though.
