Hey guys,
I am from Pakistan and I have applied for my study permit about three months ago. My medical was called two weeks after submission of application. I put forward a strong application showing more than the required 12,000$ per year living expense in bank account, I also submitted the complete fee. My application also contained documents of properties on my name, thus showing strong ties in order to return to Pakistan. I still have not received a reply from the embassy. Now the deadline for joining the university has passed and they are deferring me to 2013 and I am still awaiting answer for the study permit. My question is if I get a visa will I be able to travel to Canada on that study visa, even though my admission has been deferred to 2013? The university will not defer the admission to next semester. And what if I apply for a political asylum? Due to my religious preferences I face the threat of illegal persecution and even threat of death. Can any one guide me plz.
