Average processing time after Permanent Resident Fee payment request

Hello there,

I was requested for medical check and Permanent Resident Fee payment. I was also asked for Criminal records to be presented for my wife. I sent those papers as soon as possible and were already received at CIC 50 days ago. Since I am from Latin America, I was requested to send all information to CIC office located in Mexico.

Some families in the same stage of the process were already passport requested and granted the final Permanent Resident status, however our file has not been modified. All I can see in the online website is medical results received status. No other info regarding the documentation I sent.

After sending several emails, all I got is a statement from CIC saying our file is in queue to be processed. Since (as mentioned) other families were able to move to next steps I am wondering if there could be any type of delay at CIC these days or maybe there could be something wrong with file I am not aware of. Actually I am worried my file could be lost or misplaced.

Any ideas of what to do besides waiting? Any words of wisdom out there? How many days / months is it supposed to take for CIC to process this stage?

Thanks,

Alex.

I am not sponsoring my wife. I am the main applicant with the whole family group.
In that case you will need to post your question to the section of the forum representing the program under which you applied (i.e. Express Entry, Skilled Worker, Provincial Nomination, Quebec Skilled Worker).

OK then, but if you take a look at the description of this forum, it says questions about processing times.
Thanks anyway.

True, it does. However, the majority of posters stick to the section they know most about. Some will pop into other forums and post, but most will not. So if you want to get the best information that is relevant to your particular stream, it is always advisable to post in the section of the forum for that stream.
