Hi,
I am also thinking of it

This is not the correct forum to discuss about it. However, I have got it already this January.
I went to Melbourne for 3 days to activate it. I am in Canada now, and waiting for Canadian PR processing.

Hi,

Started the process a couple of months, few steps done, few under way.

Hi buddy
Am thinking of going for it but the problem is my Writing IELTS
I scored 9 in Listening, 9 in Reading, 8 in Speaking and 6.5 in writing (just 0.5 short of 7)
Do you think i stand a chance on the basis of IELTS.
This is the only problem otherwise i have got rest of the things covered

Australia recognize other English exams too. So, you can try for them too like Toffel IBT

So it means, i definitely wouldn't make the cut with my existing IELTS score?
Hard to swallow such a narrow miss

similar situation here in IELTS, writing 6.5 :(

I'm also thinking about Australia PR. Did a rough score calculation online, can only get 55 point even with IELTS writing above 7.. I think with local education, Australia is easier than Canada for people having less work experience.

Congratulations on both PR's in advance :)

Guys, it all depends what is your occupation.

Few occupation list demands 7 in "each" in IELTS, & for some it is different.

Also, even if 6.5 in each, then however u do not qualify for those 10 points in IELTS which one gets if they score 7 in each but then anybody making 55 & need that 5 extra points to make it 60 for eligibility, can go for State Sponsership, which is not so difficult to get, depends on the occupation list & the quota of that list for that particular state(which you intend to apply).

State Sponsorships usually require you to have an employment contract with a local company for at least 12 months, so it is not that easy. Of course it depends on the state-specific requirements, nevertheless that has been my experience.

NOT AT ALL.

STATE SPONSORSHIP in Aus does NOT require any job at local market nor such any condition mentioned below.

Not at all untill till recent past years & not even NOW.

Kindly cross check state sponsorship rules of Aus again.
