Good day Fellow Forum Members. Pls is there anyone out there that filled under FSW in August/September?
Have you by any chance heard from the Accra VO ?

Hi Arese. I got my PER in march 2012 and my ecas reads IN PROCESS since then. What do you think makes accra to be so slow and NDVO so hyperactive as most MI3 applicants in india have got MR but that is not the case for Accra. I am happy that u started this forum I guess for MI3 applicants as the other Nigeria forum is dominated by MI1 and 2 guys. Pls would you share your timeline and NOC?

I submitted application in August, received PER in November. I am in-process with we received your application for PR on xxxx date. I contacted Accra in February, was told app is in queue for a review, application is first in first out, pls minimize contact with us ...bla bla bla.....

NDVO is in another world of it's own, followed by manila and London. Now July is around the corner, I hope we don't become the new backlog. It is well.

Hi Temi, nice to know u are there & it's a pleasure communicating with u.
I'm pretty new on the forum & need to clarify the meaning of some of the abbreviations commonly used.
I guess PER = when an application is considered eligible at CIO, Nova Scotia; if yes, mine was communicated in a letter dated 1st December.
My "ecas" (Electronic Client Application Status?) reads the same as yours.
I have no clue why Accra VO is slow but I pray things speed up soonest.
What's the relevance of the NOC?

I guess our background check would have a lot to do with the delay most experience in Accra.If that is correct does it mean NDVO uses special method for background check or they never place much emphasy on it.Does anybody have ideal of when to expect MR in accra base on fact and experience. Its like Accra has not processed many MI3 to draw some conclutisions.

No one actually knows the exact reason why some VO's are slow while others are fast but it's most likely got to do with visa quotas and manpower. e.g Accra has been allocated 1,200 visa for this year compared to NDVO's 8,000. check link below.

I would rule out background checks for delays as Accra was giving out visas in 6-9months to early MI-2 applicants. At the moment, Accra is processing the remaining MI-1 applications and no one knows when they are likely gonna switch, athought the processing time for MI-3 in Accra indicated on CIC's website is +/- 12 months which is kind of vague.

Once Accra starts processing MI-2 and MI-3, it won't take long before they start sending MR cos applications had been initially reviewed at Nova Scotia. So all we can do now is pray that Accra looks our way.

Acknowledgement of receipt. This is the VO's way of notifying you that your file has been received by from CIC. Accra does not send AOR except when they request for update or additional info, usually a couple of weeks or month after they receive your file from CIC.

@ Omoba7: Hi there. I just checked the link you dropped & I see the fact in your statement. We should keep praying that Accra VO smiles the way of MI-3 applicants soon enough; at least before exhausting their 1,200 quota.
On 2nd thought, I think that quota given to them is rather small compared to other RPCs like LVO, NDVO & Buffalo.
What do you think?

yeah, its small and Accra is in charge of circa 7countries. But still, there are so many applicants from New Delhi, so the amount of visa is directly proportional to number of applicants. It is well.

yes, I think all visa quota per year are exhausted in that year by pre 2008 and MI's. There are thousands of applications in backlog. Normally visa should be on a "first in first out basis", but there are exceptions due to MI instructions. But we can only make a good guess, we know nothing about internal communications between CIC, NS and visa offices. On the contrary, documents verification is done by VO while CIC checks for eligibility.

I really hope they do oooo i.e in May or earlier sef IJN. I believe once Accra is done with MI-1, the processing of the remaining applications pending at their office would be super fast due to caps applied for both MI2(remaining march to June applicants, 2011-according to their spreadsheet) and MI3(July 2011 till date).

Hello good guys. I must say I am enjoying this thread. The letter posted on LVO applicants thread sent to an pplicant is quiet revealing.It means MI1 might be thru in or b4 june. Pls Omoba u sound quiet optimistic that MI3 might be super fast in accra from July. Why do we have MI1 just being processed when some MI2 have been called for medical.It is more like first in last out.I hope accra would comply and obey Mr Kenny instruction to fast track our application IJN.
