Did the agent specifically tell you that the LPP 'not started'? Do the agents actually have access to the details of your case, so that they have that level of insights? I am in the same boat with test marked complete on 1/14. I called IRCC yesterday and the agent said LPP 'pending / in process', sounded like a repeat of what is already in the tracker. I am wondering if I should call again to try my luck with a different agent, if they actually have access to detailed insights.
Yup they can see what's not started, inprogress or complete.

To all those who have received their Oath Invite, I wanted to know how long before the oath date did you receive the invite?
I noticed in a few cases tracker gave the date of oath however the invite emails weren't sent out until last minute. May I confirm with a few of you who did receive and what was your timeline like from LPP clear, Oath ceremony scheduled, Oath email received etc. Did you also have to contact IRCC via webform or call? And if you had to contact, how to contact them for faster update? Thanks in advance
Oath depends on location, GTA folks have been getting it within a week after clearing LPP, others are waiting quite a bit.

Well, she put me on hold to check my file and when she came back she said "I checked your file and on my end I see LPP "Not Started", there is still chance that it's actually "in progress" and the processing office simply hasn't updated your file, but this is what I see on my end".

The last time I called (January 15), the agent didn’t mention this and just said my LPP was "In Progress". So apparently we can’t fully rely on either the agents or the tracker. The only option for now is just to wait!

Order your GCMS notes from CBSA(it’s much quicker and more detailed than requesting from IRCC) to find out where it’s at.

While I’m not in the same category as you, my bgc only got completed last week. They only started it a few days before it was marked complete (said “in progress” since October in tracker). There’s a chance yours may not have been started.
Do you know , where to order GCMS notes from CBSA ? or do you have a guide , where we can follow ?

Choose CBSA (should be the first one on the list)
Next pay will ask you to go to a sign in page - so choose that (as you will need to it to recieve the files electronically). Sign in with your GCKey account (or create a new account)

From there you just follow the bouncing ball, answer the questions. In the request details you will need to supply your Application Number and a few other details. In the request details ask for your GCMS Notes for Citizenship Application.

Takes about a week or two to come back

I saw on tracker on Jan 20, 2026 that my oath date is scheduled for Feb 6, 2026. Today Jan 28, I received their email invitation for a virtual ceremony!

To those who follow my case, I received the email invitation to the citizenship ceremony just 1 minute ago. The office is Scarborough. Since I'm currently not in Canada and would prefer an in-person date, I will email them now to ask for a different date and in-person after I come back to Canada!
Hopefully by then they'll have a date and can accommodate me!
I'll keep you updated in this thread!

I heard people saying ordering GCMS notes will slow down the processing of the case. Is it true?

Is there any benefit to attending in person vs attending in virtual one? This is a curiosity question. I am lazy and prefer staying inside the comfort of my home hence asking why people go to ceremony and if any specific benefit or just sentimental value of this occasion?

No haha. I just want it for the sentimental value of it. I stated that this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me, so I would love to attend it with my husband. And I also like the paper certificate, which we will receive right in the ceremony hehehe

I've ordered GCMS Notes for my WP Renewal, PR Application and Citizenship Application. At no times has it slowed down the process.

A different department deals with the ATIP requests, and has no impact on your application. Sometimes, it can even help it along especially if it's been sitting in limbo.
