AUGUST 2015 - OUTLAND Applications

I did a search but couldn't find an August thread, so starting one here (feel free to delete if duplicate).

Just sent our full application in with Xpresspost, scheduled to arrive tomorrow. In total we were at about 200 pages or so, in one envelope, separated by little flags on the side and paperclips. If I can figure out a way to post pics, will attach a photo!

We'll be likely forwarded to Lima, Peru office. Share your experiences here!

I'm August too

Our application arrived at CIC on the 6th, signed for by Mahmood.

I organised mine all in the one envelope too, just with paper clips.

Ours should be forwarded to Sydney, fingers crossed for a quick processing time!

Haha I keep hearing of Mahmood signing for packages, and secretly hope we get him too!. Does he know he is sort of famous around these boards?

I think Sydney and Lima are on similar timelines (10-11 months), let's hope its less! I was doubting myself yesterday because I couldn't find where people put their preferred VO on the application, though in our case I dont think it matters much. Though my husband has Peruvian and Italian citizenship, he never really lived in Italy, so they wouldn't send it there anyway.

I hope its less, but if not then 11 months isn't as long as some offices take. As long as its done before my visa runs out in jan 2017 I'll be happy

Don't worry I had doubts about the forms too, I triple checked, then had my partner check. I think I drove him crazy haha. On older versions of one of the forms (IMM0008 I think) you could select the visa office, they removed that when they updated the form.

I see your name is on the 2015 spreadsheet, did you add your name to the bottom table and they moved it up, or do I have to do something else for it to show there?

Yeah I added my details to the bottom table and then they were moved up, as long as you fill in all the boxes someone will add them to the main table.

My application was received on August 18 2015 by R MAHMOOD. Visa office will be LVO

I don't think I'm going to recommend anyone using Xpresspost.. They specifically said it will be delivered next business day when I dropped it off at 1pm, and it's only now out for delivery (a day late). I know it's a day, but every day counts when you have police certificates expiring..

On that note, does anyone know when the certificates need to be valid until - until they receive the package or until they open to review it? I heard the latter can take 3-4 weeks after they receive it..

Also, on a side note, how do people add flags and stats to their profile? It does not seem to be intuitive when I go to my profile page..

LVO= London visa office

You need to have at least 10 before you can add flag or info

I now have confirmation it was delivered as of 9:38 this morning.. But i forgot to ask for a signature (silly..) so I don't know who accepted it. I assume this is ok?

Does CIC send an email to acknowledge they've received it at some point as well? How long does that take?

Should be fine, you have confirmation that it arrived thats the main thing. I used express post as well, took 4 days to arrive but I live in AB and sent it in on a stat day so it was always going to take longer...

Most people get an email after about a month but some don't, the first they hear is when they get SA. At least thats what I've read on here, I'm not sure if they look through your application then to make sure everything is there or not.

I was actually panicking for nothing, later got another confirmation with a scanned signature, signed by "S S". No idea who it is but at least it's there, yay! Now just to wait. Also getting a refund from Canada Post since they didn't meet their timelines, so at least there is that.
