Hi all. I am a September applicant and I just got Sponsor Approval!

I am still unable to check via ECAS but I will give it a day or two I guess!

Our Ecas was updated even before we got our SA. My husband called to get our UCI number. It was then updated to decision made 2 days later. I really think it depends on who is working on your case and if they chose to update it. I don't know thought, I have seen it vary a lot.

For the people provided email address on their applications, SA is received through email obviously, do you also receive the letter from regular mail after?

I am pretty sure I read somewhere on the guide that if you provide email all correspondence will be done by email and not snail mail. I believe the only thing you get by mail is the COPR

Decision Made for SA right and not overall?

I believe I read somewhere on this forum that they update ECAS on Tuesdays. I am still unable to check ECAS with my UCI, my wife's or the file/application number.

I long for the day that I can access ECAS!

My husband called 10/28 at 8am in the morning they gave him UCI # he checked it online and it worked. Even before we got SA. It just said "application received" - we got SA at 11:30am that day and it didn't say DM on SA Until 10/30. It also said PR application received and updated to medicals recieved. So i'm guessing it updates when ever the people working on your app update it.

My husband got a letter by snail mail today saying they received our application on 8-25-2014. Probably because we both called early last week to find out what the heck was going on. So, what the heck is going on? So frustrating...

I included my e-mail in the application and my husband's e-mail on his sponsor forms, and we still received our SA via snail mail. It was clearly stated in the letter they sent us with the sponsor approval that if we get a letter in the mail, we will not receive any other electronic forms of correspondence about SA. It was weird because we followed the instructions and included our e-mail. Basically, they send notice how they want to! haha I'm okay with it as long as I hear something

FYI, we applied for TRV about a week back, shortly after receiving the SA approval and confirmation that file was at Manila VO. We were surprised to get passport request the following day (TRV refused 4 times in 2014). Passport sent by courier on Tuesday and back in my partners hands on Sunday with visa stamp. It's only a single-entry visa but at least we can spend the holidays together and perhaps some months of the long wait for PR.

congrats on getting visitor visa.... I was thinking of applying for visitor visa after we get SA, but since I didn't buy property there and wife doesn't have much money in the bank... I figured the chance of getting visa would be slim to no chance

Do you mean if we have a good job and house, we will have more chance to get the visa if we apply it after SA?
Are you sure? What I remember is you have to make CIC believe you will be back to your country. This is difficult.

We included email as well but still a letter. The letter wasn't even for SA. It was letting us know it was received..

My application was received on August 1, 2014 ( old forms). Received request for new forms on August 26, 2014. Submitted my new forms on September 15, 2014.

GOT SA TODAY, October 30, 2014

90 days from original application and 44 days from application received on new forms.

Got SA today Oct 30th and file forwarded to New Delhi .Initially application was sent on Aug 15th but received a request to send updated form on Sep 9th . Updated Application received by CIC on Sep 16 . All the best to others!!

Just got Sponsor Approval today! 77 days after original application was received, 36 days after we were asked to submit an additional document (which was sent the next day via regular Royal Mail).

Our application was transferred to Ottawa, which I see as a positive thing!

Now, the waiting game starts from scratch...
